Eligibility

  • Open to all students currently enrolled in courses in the SA+AH.
  • Work must have been completed in the past two years.
  • Works not conforming to the submission specifications will be rejected.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted.

 Liability

All reasonable care will be taken in the handling of selected works during installation and show run; however, neither University Gallery nor FACC organizers may be held liable for damage or loss of artwork.


 Entry Procedure

ENTRIES OPEN NOW UNTIL DECEMBER 23rd at midnight!

Please complete the online submission below and upload imagery as indicated. Please include a link to view or download time based works.

Label each image using the following naming convention: Last name_first name_number of image.jpg See example:

2-D and 3-D Work

For each work (up to 3) you may submit up to 2 digital images (a general view and a detailed view). Upload JPG files through the online submission form. JPG images should be 300 ppi and of “high” quality. File size must be no larger than 2mb.

Time-Based Work

For time-based works, complete the online form, upload a still image from the work, and include a link to view your work on Vimeo or YouTube. Works of all lengths may be selected for the exhibition, but the juror will require a three-minute clip for judging.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All 2D work must be ready for hanging. White pedestals will be provided for 3D works. The Gallery can provide monitors and projection for Electronic and digital works but the artist are welcome to bring their own means of display. The gallery also provides wireless internet access for media requiring wifi. Installation submissions should include the total dimensions required for gallery installation (LxWxH).

Work not ready for display at drop-off will not be accepted, and will be excluded from the show.

Lorenzo Triburgo

Lorenzo Triburgo is a Brooklyn-based, multimedia artist employing performance, photography, video, and audio to cast a critical lens on notions of the “natural,” the construct of gender, and the politics of queer representation.

Lorenzo has artworks in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, IL, and the Portland Art Museum in Portland, OR. They have been featured in Slate, Huffington Post, HuffPo-Live, and the Transgender Studies Reader 2 edited by Susan Stryker and Aren Aizura (Routledge).

Lorenzo has exhibited and lectured in cities throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia, including Bruce Silverstein, NYC; Photoforum Pasquart, Biel, Switzerland; Kunst und Kulturhaus, Berne, Switzerland; the Dutch Trading Post, Nagasaki, Japan; The Henry Art Gallery, Seattle, WA; Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines, IA; the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, IL; Magazzini del Sale di Palazzo Pubblico, Siena, Italy; and Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, the Netherlands as the first place winner of the international Pride Photo Award.

Lorenzo is a Camera Club of NY Baxter Street Workspace Residency recipient in 2019 for their project Monumental Resistance: Stonewall and current project Becoming Queer (working title), collaborations with their partner Sarah Van Dyck.

Lorenzo holds a BA from New York University in Photography and Gender Studies and an MFA in Photography and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts. Lorenzo teaches Critical Theory, Art, and Gender Studies for Oregon State University’s online campus and in the continuing education program at the School of Visual Arts.
